Beth Power, M.Sc., R.P.Bio. Partner

Beth Power has been an environmental consultant for over 20 years, working on a wide variety of issues. Her specializations fall into three main areas - ecological risk assessment, contaminated sediments and science policy. Beth tends to work at the interface between owners, developers, the regulatory community, engineers, lawyers and other professions. She is trained in facilitation and design of group processes (e.g., meetings, workshops).
Beth is a registered professional biologist in BC and is appointed to the “Roster of Approved Professionals” (as a Risk Assessment Approved Professional). She is an active member of the Science Advisory Board for Contaminated Sites in BC (SABCS).
Beth has developed and applied ecological risk assessment frameworks since 1989 in a variety of settings, such as watersheds, mines, oil and gas facilities, ports and harbours, and for risk ranking. She has worked in over 14 countries, including three years in the United Kingdom where she still does advisory work. Beth thrives on supporting clients in addressing complex, multi-party problems.
